Founded in 2024, We are Blackness (WB) was born from our deep desire to celebrate and honor African Heritage. As James Baldwin said, “If you know where you come from, there's absolutely no limit to where you can go”. WB is the fruit of a multicultural collaboration that aims to reflect a rich and vibrant Afro-descendant identity, to honor the past and to embrace the future so we ensure that our heritage shines through time.

Our mission is to encourage pride and self-affirmation in Afro-descendant community through designs that honor their stories and celebrate their unique identity.

We want each piece to embody a tribute to our roots, but also invite to embrace the future with boldness and conviction. We aspire to be a driving force for change, inspiring awareness.

We want to share our values through our clothing:

Pride: We value pride in ourselves and our African roots, encouraging each individual to embrace their identity with confidence.

Heritage: We believe in the importance of passing on and honoring our African history.

Activism: We firmly believe that pride in ourselves and knowledge of our history are powerful vectors for change, capable of inspiring awareness and encouraging emancipation within our community.
